Emily Bett grew up in British Columbia, where her mother worked as a dream psychotherapist. At a young age she developed a strong interest in performing, especially dance and musical theatre. She continued to develop her skills in hopes of one day pursuing a career in acting.
After matriculating from high school, she enrolled at the Vancouver Film School, where she completed the Acting Essentials Program. She then attended an open call audition which led her to attract an agent, and continued to further her studies by enrolling at the Alida Vocal Studio, located in Vancouver.
