Who is Lee Soo-hyuk?

Lee Hyuk-Soo was born on 31 May 1988, in Gwacheon, Gyeonggi, South Korea, and is an actor as well as a model, best known for appearing in numerous television shows since the 2010s. He’s also appeared in several popular magazines in South Korea, and has modeled internationally for luxury brands.

Lee also worked in the series “Righteous Love” which aired on tvN for a total of 20 episodes early in 2015, starring alongside Uhm Tae-Woong and Lee Si-Young.

Later in the year, he was cast in the show “Scholar Who Walks the Night” which is an adaptation of the cartoon of the same name. It tells the story of a noblewoman who loses all her riches and must cross-dress to work as a male bookseller to make ends meet – she then meets a vampire.

His next project was in 2016’s “Local Hero”, which starred him alongside Jo Sung-Ha and Park Shi Hoo. He didn’t take any long breaks during the year, as he was cast in “Sweet Stranger and Me” and “Lucky Romance”, which is also based on a web cartoon of the same name.

After his contract with Star J Entertainment ended, he signed a new contract with YG Entertainment, one of the biggest entertainment companies in South Korea. However, he wasn’t able to get into any new projects right away, as he had to complete his mandatory military service. He completed basic training and served for the next two years as a public service officer. He returned to acting soon after, with one of his latest projects being the film “Pipeline”.
