He tried his hand at several auditions, before gaining his most notable role.

The Office

Leslie David had another audition scheduled for the day of his callback for “The Office” and he was caught up traffic, so he was cranky during his audition, and this led to his character being written the way he was feeling that day, as Stanley Hudson, a sales representative for the fictional Dunder Mifflin paper distributor; he is often grouchy and defiant which led him to become one of the standout characters in the show. A lot of his scenes became memorable to fans of the show, and rarely showed a soft side. “The Office” is an adaptation of the BBC series of the same name, depicting the lives of the office employees in the fictional Dunder Mifflin Paper Company. The show tried to simulate the look of an actual documentary, and though receiving mixed reviews during its first season, gained significant widespread acclaim during its subsequent seasons.
