He then continued his work on television, starring in a production of “In God’s Hat” which was held at the Peter Jay Sharp Theatre. In 2015, Tom got a recurring role in the Cinemax television series entitled “Banshee” in which he portrayed the former neo-Nazi Kurt Bunker who is trying to reintegrate into society. The show is set in the small town of Banshee in Pennsylvania’s Amish country, and the main character is an ex-con who assumes the identity of the town’s murdered sheriff, to hide from a powerful crime lord. During this time, he tries to reconcile with a former lover who is the daughter of the crime lord after him. He struggles to maintain his new identity, while still conflicted with the crimes he was involved with in the past.

Two years later, he began working on the show “Iron Fist”, based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name. , and set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), sharing a continuity with MCU Marvel films. The show was created as a fourth series which eventually led to the mini-series crossover entitled “The Defenders”. He appeared in the show alongside Jessica Henwick, Finn Jones, and Jessica Stroup; the first season received generally negative reviews, but had a strong viewership, and the second season was released to a more positive reception, but was eventually cancelled in 2018.
